Terms and Conditions for Energy Assessment Services
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of energy assessment services (including Domestic and Commercial Energy Performance Certificates, or EPCs) provided by Powergreen Energy Certificates ("the Assessor") to the person or entity requesting the service ("the Client"). By booking an assessment, the Client agrees to these terms.

- Accreditation: The Assessor confirms they are fully qualified, insured, and accredited with an approved government scheme (e.g., Elmhurst, Stroma, ECMK, Quidos).
3. Property Access & Site Conditions
- Access Requirements: The Client must ensure the Assessor is granted safe, timely, and full access to all relevant areas of the property (including lofts, heating systems, meters, and plant rooms where applicable).
- Delays & Aborted Visits: If access cannot be gained at the agreed time, or if conditions on-site are deemed unsafe, an aborted call-out fee of [£XX] may apply.

- Relevant documentation regarding energy-saving measures that cannot be visually verified (e.g., cavity wall insulation certificates, floor insulation documentation, or boiler installation manuals).
- Clear notice of any hazardous materials or safety risks on the site.
Note: Under official accreditation rules, if evidence or access is unavailable for specific elements, default assumptions required by the software must be used, which may affect the final energy rating.

-
- Pricing: The fee for the assessment will be agreed upon prior to the site visit.
- Payment Terms: Payment is due [upon booking / on the day of inspection / within 1 working day of invoice].
- Certificate Release: The final EPC or report will only be lodged onto the central register and released to the Client once full payment has been received.

- Notice Required: The Client may cancel or reschedule the booking up to [24/48 hours] before the scheduled appointment at no additional charge.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within [24 hours] of the appointment time may be subject to a cancellation fee of [50%] of the agreed fee.
-
7. Limitation of Liability & Professional Indemnity
-
-
- Public Liability & Professional Indemnity: The Assessor carries full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance appropriate for domestic and commercial energy assessments.
- Data Accuracy: Recommendations contained within the EPC are generated by standard government-approved software and are for guidance only.
- Maximum Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Assessor’s total liability for any claim arising out of the performance of the service shall not exceed the total fee paid by the Client for that specific assessment.
